This is so good, so interesting & well-done… I never tried the death drop on the playground, preferring ‘around the world’ where (theoretically) one remained in contact with the bar & returned to the buttcheek-hover position. And I have a bipolar family member… so this definitely resonates. –June

Powerful writing. Touches my heart because a dear friend, severely bipolar, killed herself with pills recently. She left me with the gift of her open sharing of her illness: bipolar runs in my family too and I needed to understand. Thank you for sharing so articulately with your writing. Throwing light on this illness is a huge kindness.

What? Where can I read the rest? I love how effortlessly the seams if mother and daughter are connected. Author’s memoir was one of the best I have read this year. Please keep me connected.
